Mochras Marmoset ( April 12). Marmalade excelled herself with this litter of five, for an outcross this was a very level litter. Sired by Irish Champion Sverdrups Virgile ( Import, Denmark). “Zetty” is a lighter colour than we had become used to, yet with a black skin, eyes and nose leather ( except in the Winter!) and a short harsh coat. Her legs are well boned and she is a foot perfect mover with her sire’s high tail carriage and confidence. Best baby puppy in show on her debut ( Basset Club show of Ireland), all her gradings were the highest possible for her four months – ” very promising”. She won puppy bitch at Midland Counties to qualify for Crufts, followed by a green star in Dublin – aged 6 mths, 2 weeks. ” Zetty” won fourteen firsts as a puppy and junior, in an unbeaten row, plus three more firsts ( with excellents) in Ireland. She has two green stars towards the seven she needs for her title.
Zetty is currently doing well, usually wins Limit bitch – and is invariably praised for her fabulous coat, its really crisp and wiry.
Zetty is another charming character, from earliest puppyhood has leaned back into your arms for a cuddle, thinks if she stands on human feet in the kitchen a biscuit will follow ( she’s trained us, as now it often does). She likes high vantage points and can “chillax” anywhere, she is so easy to take out and about. She’s the most ” blonde” of our fauves, a wheat colour against the rest of the reds here.
