Clementine’s second litter of six puppies was born at Christmas 2009. As time went on a dog puppy began to look rather nice, and so of course he had to stay. Marzipan headed off to kennel Vetterli, Norway, our first export.
Marzipan became a Nordic Ch in 2013 with hunting qualification too. http://home.lyse.net/vetterli/MISS%20DIPLOM%20001%20%28Medium%29.jpg
Myrrh joined Cracker’s son Woody in Devon, she is shown once a year at Paignton show and so far has won her class each time. The other puppies are following their own careers with Rothko excelling as a ” therapy dog” with children undergoing counselling, Aston ( Merry) in Dulwich has met up with Mince Pie ( Manon) on their walks. A super litter of bright and healthy fauves with several exceptional hunters amongst them.
Melchoir is occasionally called Magus these days, more often he is affectionately called “the Tid” after his long time puppy habit of tid-widdling where he shouldnt. He grew fast and tall and aged 6 months I feared he would be far too big, but fortunately he stopped there. He’s won both his English and Irish titles, is unbeaten in Ireland with seven “excellents”, also a reserve cc at the BfdB show in 2012. He’s been placed 2nd and 3rd in the group at three shows in Ireland ( Group 6) and won the Hound Group at Southampton Open show.
Tid’s balance is good, he is an extremely fit and typy fauve with the clean hind action we like to see, straight front legs and a strong body and level topline. He was ” born black”, and as a result has fabulous dark pigmentation and a rich red coat colour. We love his intelligence and confidence, he gets on really well with his half brother and is our alpha male with the minimum of fuss.
