Hibeck Cream Cracker

Cracker joined us from Hibeck when Clementine was around 18 months old. She is a daughter of top sire Hibeck Satsuma, therefore Clementine’s niece.  At that time we thought a second fauve would be a nice companion for our smallest hound, we had no intention of having more at that time. We arranged that she would have a Hibeck litter, but none of her three puppies were of show quality so I still “owed” Jean McDonald Ulliott a daughter in exchange for Cracker.

Woody and Harvey and Saffron have fabulous homes, and both Woody and Harvey have younger ” Mochrashound” companions of their own in Twiggy and Henri, from later Mochras litters.

In 2012 we realised Cracker was six and time was getting on, so she was mated to our own Ch and Irish Ch Mochras Melchoir. We nearly lost Cracker following a caesarian, she had acute anaemia. Her ” mother in law” Clementine took on all six of her puppies while Cracker was in the clinic, and on her return the two bitches shared the care of this litter. With two mothers no puppies were ever better fed and reared, it was the best possible outcome.

Mochras Casper is owned by Tim and Stephanie Arnold and is shown occasionally.
